Studio Facilities

In July 2008, BalletNova Center for Dance moved into a beautiful 20,800 square foot studio facility in Falls Church, Virginia.  Located at 3443 Carlin Springs Road, the new space sits at the crossroads of Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church City and Fairfax.

Studios

There are six spacious dance studios, five of which are fully equipped with Harlequin Liberty panel sprung sub flooring and non-slip vinyl overlays, a wall of mirrors, double barres, 16-foot ceilings, and sound systems. The sixth, Studio E, has a raised floor, vinyl overlay, mirrors, and portable barres.

The sixth studio, Studio F, is the largest space ar 50' x 50.'  Future plans include turning it into a studio/performance space with seating for 150. Studio F has also been a popular place for large parties, and can be rented for weddings, anniversaries, and other special events.

Space for All

Parents and friends can wait comfortably for their dancers in the Community Room/Party Room, which has tables, chairs, and healthy snacks in the Yo Naturals vending machine.  Equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, children's book,s tables and chairs, this room is also used for Birthday Parties and summer camp crafts projects.  .

A Conference Room/Library is used as the Quiet Waiting Room, where parents can quietly read, or children can work on homework. This room is also used for meetings and for video study on the large-screen TV. 

 

Boys and Girls have ample dressing rooms, and Adult Ladies have a separate dressing room of their own.

Donors are honored by a listing on the beautiful new Benefactor Wall display, immediately visible when entering the lobby.  A covered portico outside the front door keeps young dancers safe while they wait for parent pick-up.

Artistic and Administrative

There is a large, very organized Costume Room which houses all BalletNova's costumes and accessories.  The Teacher's Lounge is furnished with a dressing area, shelves, comfy couch and table.  Private offices for the Artistic Director, Executive Director and Operations Manager provide privacy for small meetings and confidential parent conferences.
