Coppélia

In this new production of Coppélia, Artistic Director Laveen Naidu shortens the three act ballet into a comfortable one act version. This ballet shares the story of the eccentric Doctor Coppelius, who creates a doll (Coppelia) for companionship. The doll appears so lifelike that she captures the attention of Franz, a young village youth, who is engaged to be married to Swanhilda! Upset that her true love is infatuated with another, Swanhilda realizes Coppelia for the doll she is and dons Coppelia’s clothing to trick Franz. Confusion, mayhem and comedy ensue! It’s a delightful classic for all ages to enjoy.

Daphnis & Chloe

Choreographed by BalletNova's Associate Artistic Director Constance Walsh, this original work shares the story of Daphnis and Chloe, the only known work of Greek novelist and romancer Longus. Performed to the 2nd Suite of Daphnis and Chloe by Ravel, Walsh captures the dreamy tale of the romantic pair brought together by nymphs and the Syrinx.

Hello! Goodbye!

Inspired by the extraordinary artist Mary Ann Mears’s dynamic sculpture ‘Reston Rondo’ which is installed at Hyatt Park, the gateway to the Reston Town Center. Gin Dance Company Artistic Director Shu-Chen created 'Hello! Goodbye!' takes a humorous, cheerful, and whimsical look at the role the ‘Reston Rondo.’
