Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the lifeblood of any non-profit organization and BalletNova depends on its many volunteers for their help in getting the job done. We couldn't do it without you!
Here are some opportunities for you to help:
- Costuming (sewing, mending, altering, caring for, creating, carrying)
- Stage crew (loading, setting up and striking the set; assisting backstage on headphones, with sound, curtain, etc.)
- Team parent (in charge of a group of children during the run of a performance; the main liaison between group parents and the studio)
- Fundraising Committee (help plan and implement fundraisers like the Nutcracker Tea and Gala Auction)
- Marketing Committee (help get the word out about classes and performances)
- Open House (volunteer to assist with the event)
- Birthday Parties (coordinate crafts, cake, and tea parties for birthdays)
- Rehearsal Chaperones (usually during Nutcracker - help keep children focused when the choreographer is working with large groups; oversee them during snack and break times)
- Distribution (help distribute flyers and posters)
- Concessions (staff the table at performances, donate baked goods)
- Treasures (staff the merchandise table at performances)
- Festival Committee (represent BalletNova at local fairs and festivals)
- Program Ads (find patrons to buy ads in performance programs)
