The Center Dance Company, founded in 1984 by Kenneth and Kathy Fredgren, became BalletNova in 2009. Started as an outlet for local professional dancers to perform and choreographers to set new pieces, the Company now produces excellent community performances featuring some of the most advanced and promising students from the school as well. Local professional choreographers are highlighted each year.

BalletNova produces three theatrical performances each year, in addition to many community performances and events throughout the region, and in BalletNova's studio performance space.
